From the previous post it was apparent that we are no longer in a situation to keep the sites up and running. But we have found a middle way in our situtation .. since we didnt want to loose you guys.

UbN3T has merged all their sites into UnBanner network and from today all the site which were previously being managed by the UbNetwork will now we handled by UnBanner.

With very heavy hearts, we would like to inform that we are no longer in a position to pay for our server, bandwidth and electricity. Hence from the month of December we are shutting down our server and going away forever!

More than 2 Years and 100s Terabytes later, we are no longer able to financially support this project. Our server doesnt cost too much .. just less than $100 a month but still our advertisers donot even pay that much.

We are already paid many invoices from our own pockets and the team can no longer afford to do the same. Hence we have taken this step.

Its still 11 Days for DECEMEBER and we would need to pay around $100 to our hosting company to renew the contract. If any how we are able to manage donations we would happily continue with the service, or else

The Hard Disk issue.

Was a long night for some of us yesterday when suddenly our server seemed to be running out of power. After some internal lookup it was obvious our hard-disk was dying and badly needed replacement. 

So began the long process of backup and restoring data on new hard-disks and getting the server back up and running. But in this havoc we decided to update and clean a lot of data.

Finally after some hardwork we have successfuly recovered our server and its running normally now :-D

Exams and the rest of the pain

Were you guys wonder why we werent updating you people with new site? Blame it on our exams. We are very small team and all of us here at UbN3T have our exam-cram on the rise !

But we are back after a break and will continue to update you people with new sites.

And We plan a Fresh Start....

March is a special month for us at UB-N3T, we had made several changes in the march 2009 and has reaped us a lot of good.(not to forget its our administrators WB's birthday also)  At the start of this month about 80 domains have been removed from our network, so if you have been thinking why many of our sites are not working.. theres the answer for you. And at this point we are looking at making a fresh start. 

By fresh start we mean - 

• Some tweeks with server for better performance and a lot of clean up.
  
• A better look to our sites.
  
• Script tweeks and better site support.
  
• MORE SITES!!
  

February was an awesome busy month for us, we pushed out about 40 new sites and used more than 3 TeraBytes of server bandwidth (1 TB = 1024 GB = 1,048,576 MB) also a memory boost was given to our server to handle the loads of traffic we had and hell yes we enjoyed it. 

But Febuary was also a financial crunch for us, our primary banner advertiser dumped us and is not pay our due amount :-( . Without the small advertising income we cannot handle the loads and provide quality service, so we also urge our users to please donate any amount you can. 

We have placed a PayPal button which can be used to send us ANY amount in donations.

I guess we do rock, atleast someone who wrote an email today had that in the subject line and asked us why were so dead recently (thank you so much for that dear "someone") :-)

Its been nearly 10days with no new site pushed by us... :-(

We are really sorry about this... but we are in a sort of situation which was stopping us from pushing out new domains.

Situation is that: Our primary advertiser is not paying us or even showing ads on our sites! Why do we need ads? Because they sort of help us pay a lil amount of that invoice generated every month.

Also last week were facing some abrupt downtimes which was a result of our servers maxing out! We were not able to handle the amount of traffic at times because the lack of memory and we HAVE resolved that with adding more memory to our servers. But this ALSO means we need to pay a bigger invoice each month... which isnt really good.

So what can you do to help us?

Here is a list we could come up with:

- (please) Dont get irritated with the popups and the inpage ads .. WE REALLY NEED THEM!

- Tell your friends about our awesome network .. we need human2human promotiom :-p
